Magellan re-adopts substance use disorders guideline
A Magellan senior task force recently completed review of the clinical practice guideline for substance use disorders, which has been re-adopted without changes.
We encourage you to review and become familiar with Magellan’s clinical practice guidelines.
The guidelines summarize the latest research studies and evidence-based practices for the assessment and treatment (including medication management) of specific behavioral health disorders.
Many of Magellan’s clinical practice guidelines adopt the guidelines of the American Psychiatric Association (APA). The Magellan introductions cite the specific APA guidelines and the more recent Guideline Watches that are applicable to each behavioral health condition.
