Your Virginia DMAS handbook supplement is now online
For Magellan providers serving Virginia Medicaid enrollees
We recently posted the updated provider handbook supplement for serving the Virginia DMAS Medicaid Program. The updates reflect added services, such as assertive community treatment, mental health intensive outpatient, and mental health partial hospitalization. You’ll find the authorization submission timeframes and provider credentialing requirements were also updated as part of the Project BRAVO program, effective July 1, 2021.

Your Magellan handbook supplement contains policies and procedures for providing behavioral health services to Virginia Medicaid members. In accordance with your agreement(s) with Magellan, you should also adhere to the policies and procedures outlined in the Magellan National Provider Handbook and all applicable supplements.
