California handbook supplement updated

New content relates to Adverse Childhood Experiences screening

Magellan* recently posted the updated provider handbook supplement for serving California members. The update adds Adverse Childhood Experiences screenings (ACEs) for children and adults to billable services in compliance with Senate Bill 428 that became effective Jan. 1, 2022. 

Magellan notified contracted providers about this update via U.S. Mail in the first quarter of 2023.
