Suicide and suicidal ideation intersect with alcohol and substance misuse

Magellan, its county partners, and its provider network are seeing an increase in suicide intersecting with substance use across the communities we serve.

The challenges have only increased through the pandemic as multiple resources point out the decrease in mental health stability and increase in substance use/abuse.
