Medication-assisted treatment aids those with alcohol use disorders

Magellan, its county partners, and its provider network have seen reduced attention on individuals with an alcohol use disorder (AUD) due to the increased focus around the opioid epidemic over the past several years.

This change in focus, along with the impact of stigma for those in recovery, has limited the use of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to assist those with their AUD recovery.
